Why Crossfit Bellevue

Aren’t all CrossFit training centers alike? No they are not! Most of our clients come to us because they were dissatisfied with the level of service, overcrowded classes, and unprofessional attitudes they encountered at other facilities. We educate, recover and train our clients. We have a world renowned training program, facility and staff. We have an established and proven Fundamentals Program that gets our new clients into the best shape their lives safely and without injury. How do we do this? We start by ensuring all our coaches  receive and maintain Level-1 CrossFit Certification? Our staff must complete a three month internship program prior to employment, and attend annual follow certifications and training.

Next all our coaches are obligated to maintain the highest fitness standards and lead by example at all times. CrossFit Bellevue has one of the only three Level-2 Coaches in the Seattle area. Our staff includes an Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist, a Tae Kwon Do National Champion, Div-1 Football Player, Navy Seal, Certified Dietitian, and numerous current CrossFit Games participants.

Our philosophy is to put ourselves in the place of our client and work to develop close interpersonal relations. We know our program is intimidating, we know it is hard but our goal is to teach our clients that anything is possible and small accomplishments turn into significant results. We know not everyone is in the shape they would like to be in. How do we treat clients who come to us in shape from clients who come to us in poor physical condition? The answer is called scaling. Scaling is where we modify the movements, the loads, and the reps so each and every client is challenged but not crushed.

A new client will attend our Fundamentals Program. Fundamentals are an 9-session workout plan teaches introduces clients to Olympic lifting, Kettle-Bell lifting, basic gymnastics, POSE running and Metabolic Conditioning which is the key to Elite Fitness. Each Fundamentals class builds upon the previous class and builds proper movements that are effective, basic, and in most cases are completely different than what they have been practicing. Because we focus on core to extremity movements instead of isolation exercises our clients get very strong and very fit in a short time.

No ladies you won’t get big and muscular this is not a bodybuilding program it’s a conditioning system! Think of the program this way, what burns more calories, big muscle groups such as legs, buttocks, and core muscle’s or small muscle groups such as biceps, triceps or chest muscles? If you agree that large muscle group’s burn more calories than you are in the right mindset to join our program.

Upon graduation from Fundamentals each client is re-evaluated and based on this evaluation the clients are given one of two options. Join our Foundations program or our Level-2 program. During Foundations we focus on those critical 60-days after a client graduates Fundamentals. The classes are a slower pace than our Level-2 program. Each Foundations class is challenging but the emphasis is on coaching the movements associated with Olympic lifting and Gymnastics and gradually increasing the intensity. The combination of Fundamentals and Foundations has increased our retention to over 90% and has greatly increased the overall abilities of our clients. Unlike Fundamentals, Foundations is not mandatory, we give you our recommendation and let you decide.

Finally your membership pays for unlimited seminars, club events, and sport specific activities. We offer seminars on nutrition, first aid, rowing, running, Olympic lifting, kettle-bells, mobility/recovery, gymnastics, firearms safety, self defense, and in the summer we offer open water swim seminars. A new seminar is offered each weekend and we repeat them at least 3-4 times per year. We have regular viewing of major sporting events on our huge movie screen such as UFC, Super bowls, College Bowl games, March Madness. We have monthly Bar-B-Cues and we have a running and rowing club’s where members participate in local marathons, triathlons, ergo manias, stair climbs and many urban and back country events.
