Programs

Fundamentals: From average to elite in weeks instead of months

Whether you are an elite athlete seeking to bring your game to the next level, a recreational athlete intent on achieving peak performance or anyone looking to get off the couch and improve your fitness, we can help. We don’t use gimmicks, or get ripped quick schemes. We educate you; we encourage you and most of all we help you begin to enjoy working out. When were you in the best shape of your life? It was when you were a kid; it was when you ran, jumped, climbed, pushed, pulled, caught and threw. If you were in great shape back then why are you not training that way now?

CrossFit: Constantly Varied, Functional Exercises, Performed at High Intensity

Welcome to the world of high intensity, short duration workouts designed to test and push your body to the next level. CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies, tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Hockey players, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have all found their best fitness from the same regimen.

CrossFit Kids and Teens: Forging the future of fitness. Yearly or 12-week pre-season programs

In the medical world we know treating pediatrics is completely different than how we treat adult’s patients. Yet in the fitness world many coaches and trainers do not change training regimes, intensity levels or stress the importance of technique and flexibility. Many don’t even know that kids lose flexibility as they grow and regain it again at the end of the spurt. Many coaches care about how much their athletes lift and not the form in which they lift it. A coach’s job is not to injure an athlete it’s our job to educate and teach our kids. Unsupervised weightlifting and uneducated coaching are the number one cause for adolescent training injuries.

At CrossFit Bellevue we pick up where athletic programs leave off, our goal is to reach each athlete individually. Your child will be exposed to a randomized training routine based on Olympic Weightlifting, Gymnastics’, Metabolic Conditioning workouts and focused stretching. Our Youth Athlete program focuses on each of the 10-general physical skills (cardio vascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, power, speed, flexibility, agility, accuracy, balance, and coordination) and engrains the philosophy of constantly varied functional fitness performed at high intensity.

Your child will begin each day with a warm-up that is inclusive of the whole body. Next a short focused strength routine based on their individual capabilities. After strength we simulate the rigors of the sporting environment with Metabolic Conditioning workouts. Our workouts are designed to promote competition and simulate the stress encountered on the field, courts, tracks, or trails. Each workout is scaled to the athlete’s individual ability in order to build confidence and promote strength, speed, stamina and endurance. At the conclusion of the Metcon we teach he athletes how to properly cool down and lower their heart and temperature rates. We then show them the importance of focused resistance stretching.

In short we don’t train them for a game; we train them for a season. We show our kids that quality training is much more beneficial than the quantity of training. We promote a healthy diet and most of all we lead by example. Our athletes get to see their coaches practice what they preach because the only way to lead is from the front…This program is great for the individual athletes or teams that want to periodically train together.

SEALFIT

Is an integral training program developed by a retired Navy Seal, competitive athlete and martial artist named Mark Divine. SEALFIT combines training for elite fitness, mental toughness, and “kokoro spirit” into a single program. SEALFIT picks up where other elite training programs leave off. Focusing on the whole person, we train to a set of powerful values, and focus as much training on the “inner” emotional and spiritual person as we do the “outer” physical person. Our innovative system integrates best practices from CrossFit programming, strength development, austere environmental training, team and leadership development, cutting edge sports psychology and ancient warrior development techniques. SealFit Athletes are serious athletes, special operations candidates and others who seek serious mental toughness training and to learn to operate at peak capacity for long periods of time.
